SIEMENS has launched its range of Intrunet wireless detectors and peripherals.
The new Siemens Intrunet range enhances security functionality for a wider range of residential and commercial applications where cabling is restricted or aesthetic considerations prevent the installation of wired detectors.
With coverage of up to 300 metres in open environments, the range includes motion detectors, a door/window contact, glass break detector and safety devices, control keypad, remote control and an outdoor siren, all powered by standard Lithium batteries.
The range is based on the well established SiWay and Si2Way wireless protocols, and is either supported as standard by Siemens' intrusion control panels or operated through an interface module or gateway.
SiWay is a proven, secure and reliable technology for radio communication thanks to unique device identifiers and outstanding radio range. Based on an 868MHz radio transmission, SiWay has been developed with communication security as a priority.
Si2Way is an extension of the SiWay protocol, and enables bi-directional communication with actuators. Communications between the devices and the gateway or panel are regularly monitored, with immediate notification of any jamming attempt.
According to the company, the new Intrunet products address the most challenging requirements of typical wireless applications and are fully compatible with Siemens IC60 and Intrunet intrusion control systems.
Additionally, the Intrunet wireless detectors and peripherals are designed to meet the relevant EN standards.
