MULTICARD Australia has launched a multi-application microcontroller card, which is the first to combine different high frequency contactless technologies on a single IC.
Previously known as Fastcards, Multicard Australia says the dual interface microcontroller utilises a single processor for both a LEGIC applet and the MIFARE technology.
The microcontroller also enables the use of a single identification credential in different environments.
According to Multicard Australia, the multi-application microcontroller card’s LEGIC card-in-card solutions enables the combination of secure physical and logical access systems on a single card.
Multicard Australia claims the new card has been developed to integrate various secure applications on one independent processor.
