BAKERS Delight recently utilised ID Issuance and Management Solution Fastcards, to manage the large traffic flow of the delegates in and out of International Conference in Cairns.
Over 1200 franchisees, retail and corporate staff from Australia, New Zealand and Canada attended the Bakers Delight and Cobs Bread Conference.
According to Scott Austin, President of Fastcards, the Events RFID solution was deployed across seven main entries into the Cairns Convention Centre.
He said the Fastcards Events RFID solution provided Bakers Delight with valuable feedback on who reported to which session, not only assisting the event management for the conference, but helping to provide accurate and detailed information for future conference planning.
Franchisee participants carried a UHF RFID Tag on their lanyard credentials which was read at entry portals made up of a reader and antennas.
According to Chris Caldwell, General Manager of Marketing and Operational Support from Bakers Delight, the company used the Fastcards Events RFID system to create a team-based competition among the delegates to encourage participation in both plenary sessions and extracurricular activities.
Caldwell said the Fastcards system was a great way of incorporating RFID technology into the company’s event to support both the event process and our marketing information system.
