AUSTRALIA’S largest security exhibition, Security 2009, is preparing to shine the spotlight on suppliers and manufacturers of data security solutions.
The exhibition will feature an enhanced Data Security Village to showcase the latest products and services in secure operating systems, anti-virus software, encryption and key management and secure data storage.
Exhibition organisers said they been working closely with the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA ANZ) and the Australian Information Security Association (AISA).
Chairman of SNIA ANZ Craig Scroggie said the need for security applications to protect all realms of data was increasing as data security threats became more prevalent and sophisticated.
Scroggie said there has been a rise in ID theft and fraud schemes with the global financial crisis.
Security 2009 Conference, to be held alongside the exhibition at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, will also tackle the issue of data security.
Now in its 24th year, Security 2009 will showcase more than 130 brand and industry leaders offering complete solutions in access control, CCTV, theft prevention, biometrics and risk management.
The Conference will be held from 24-26 August 2009.
