NIST, NSA to sponsor Biometrics Consortium Conference

THE NATIONAL Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Security Agency (NSA) are sponsoring a biometrics conference at the end of this month.

The Biometrics Consortium Conference will discuss government uses for biometric technology and issues regarding biometrics in the healthcare and education industries, industry standards and biometric application in cyber security.

The conference will be held in Florida in the second half to be held over two and a half days in Florida.

Speakers include Zackary Lemnios, chief technology officer for the Department of Defense, John McConnell, former director for National Intelligence and Louise Grever, executive assistant director for the Science and Technology Branch of the FBI.
