THE federal government has signed a Global Supply Chain (GSC) Deed with security group, Thales.

Greg Combet, Minister for Defence Personnel, Materiel and Science says the Deed is part of the government’s GSC program which aims to extend the opportunities for Australian companies to access the international market place.

“The Deed actively facilitates opportunities for Australian industry to compete in Thales’ global supply chains and those of the company’s major supply partners. This will greatly benefit Australian defence industry, especially small and medium sized enterprises,” Combet says.

“Thales internationally is a leading Defence company with markets world-wide, and the potential benefits for competitive Australian companies to become part of its global supply chain are enormous.”
